The very first thing Katie makes clear when she begins to teach a new group of dancers is that She Loves Questions! Ever since she began teaching, Katie has been eager to fill the minds of young performers with all the knowledge she has gained throughout her career thus far.

She began teaching her senior year of high school in Oklahoma at the theater she herself grew up in. Katie had the opportunity to teach children's ballet and tap, adult ballet, and was a featured instructor in Poteet Theater's Ballet Summer Intensive for two years. As well as teaching classes, she also had the privilege to coach Darci Lynne on her acrobat solo for the 2015 Cinderella Pageant (Darci would later go on to win America's Got Talent).
Shuffles NYC
Katie resides in New York City, teaching tap and leading the pre-professional musical theater classes at Shuffles NYC and working as Program Manager for Chickenshed NYC, a children's inclusive theater company. She works with ages 3-18 on regular basis, collaborating with other instructors while teaching dance/theater technique and choreography for final performances.
